

In the Revendreth quest "Sign Your Own Death Warrant," the player needs to convince a giant to enter a zone called the Ember Ward. With all the death and destruction that the player character has gone through, it is good to see them have some fun with fairy magic.

The player sprouts fairy wings and begins flying above the enemy, raining down sparkles that devastate opponents in only one hit. In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' Ardenweald quest, however, it involves sparkles. Usually these vehicle quests involve the use of a gigantic canon, tank, or even animal. This quest, called "Sparkles from Above," uses the vehicle mechanic, which is far from new to World of Warcraft. Near the end of the Ardenweald questline, players are asked to destroy 50 enemies. Although most characters can just make it if they simply swim, World of Warcraft classes such as Demon Hunters and Warlocks can also use their unique abilities in order to reach their destination. The catch is that the rock is sitting in the center of a pool of lava that damages the player. In the quest "Through the Fire and Flames" players need to reach a pillar that is sitting on a rock. In the new Shadowlands zone Maldraxxus, the player will align with the House of the Chosen, and will need to prove themselves to the group as a new recruit. He finally settles on an Axe, although he laments that it is not made by the Frostwolf Clan. He later finds a sword and, although he appreciates the blade, wonders why the Alliance are so obsessed with them. During "A Good Axe," Thrall first picks up a Crossbow and hilariously swings it around against enemies. Thrall becomes frustrated with his lack of adequate weaponry and urges the player to search around for something suitable. Although many of the expansion's new quests are of the standard kill or collect variety, Blizzard also managed to sneak in a few more original quests for players to enjoy.Įarly in World of Warcraft: Shadowland's "campaign" the player is teamed up with the former Warchief, Thrall. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is no exception, and characters will need to journey through the five new zones within the Shadowlands in order to unlock their covenants.

Questing has always been an integral part of World of Warcraft, even if end-game instances and player vs player content receives more attention.
